Via the Vendreef or the Nieuwkuijkseweg you reach the A59 in a few minutes, the through road from Waalwijk to 's-Hertogenbosch. Eastbound you come onto the A2 at the Empel interchange, which crosses the Maas and goes into the river land past Zaltbommel, Geldermalsen and Culemborg.
After Everdingen follows Utrecht, and from Oudenrijn the A2 runs on to Holendrecht; there the A9 and the A4 take over to the terminal. That brings you to 101 kilometres and about 83 minutes outside rush hour. The route stands or falls with the A2: between Waardenburg and Culemborg it becomes slow in the morning and around Utrecht the ring is added.
In those hours 108 minutes is a fairer expectation. Westbound over the A59 to the Hooipolder interchange and then the A27 north is the usual alternative in the event of trouble on the A2.
Pick-up in Vlijmen
Pick-up is possible in Vliedberg and Vijfhoeven on the new-build side, around Wolput and the old centre by the Julianastraat, and in the neighbouring villages of Nieuwkuijk, Haarsteeg and Elshout that belong to the same municipality.
There's no station: travellers first take the bus to 's-Hertogenbosch and the train there, which with cases and an early flight is an awkward combination. Boarding at your own house takes that link out. Give the street and house number at reservation, and the car is ready at the agreed moment, even in the narrower streets of the old village core.
