Rijen is the largest core of the Gilze en Rijen municipality and lies between Breda and Tilburg, with the Gilze-Rijen air base as its best-known neighbour. Whoever has a flight here gets to see one amount in advance: €170 for Comfort, €215 for Premium, €220 for the Van (5-8 seats) and €365 for VIP.
Those rates suit the distance, for from Brabant it's 110 kilometres to the airport and about 92 minutes' drive outside rush hour. VAT, luggage and the parking at Schiphol are processed in it, and at night or on a public holiday you pay not a cent extra.
The reservation must be in at least one hour ahead and is settled directly online.
Via the Rijksweg or the Julianastraat you come onto the N282, the old connection between Breda and Tilburg, and within a few minutes you're on the A58. You follow that westbound to the Sint Annabosch interchange, where the A27 bends north past Oosterhout, over the Merwede bridge at Gorinchem and further through the Vijfheerenlanden.
At the Everdingen interchange the A2 connects, which runs on past Nieuwegein and Utrecht to Holendrecht; there the A9 and the A4 take over the last stretch. Together 110 kilometres, about 92 minutes outside rush hour.
The travel time is decided by three spots: the A27 between Gorinchem and Everdingen, the Utrecht ring and the A2 around Vinkeveen. If you leave in the middle of the morning peak, 120 minutes is more realistic.
In the event of problems on the A27 the A16 past Dordrecht with the A15 and A4 forms a second route.
Pick-up in Rijen
The pick-up area runs from the new-build north of the railway and the Vijf Eiken quarter to the centre around the Hoofdstraat and the streets by the air base. The villages of Molenschot, Hulten and Gilze and the businesses on Broekakkers and Haansberg belong to it too.
Gilze-Rijen station lies on the Breda–Tilburg line, but whoever wants to reach the airport from there changes at least once on the way. With cases, an early departure or colleagues along, boarding at your own door is simply calmer.
At booking you give the address, including house number, so the driver stops at exactly the right spot.

What does the taxi Rijen to Schiphol cost?+
You pay €170 in Comfort, €215 in Premium, €220 in the Van for five to eight people and €365 in VIP. That amount is complete: VAT, cases and parking charges at the airport are included.
Is the train a good alternative?+
From the station you first ride to Breda or Tilburg and take the intercity to the airport there. Travel-wise that's possible, but with luggage, two changes and a departure before sunrise, driving straight through in one car is considerably calmer.
Do we travel with eight people?+
The Van has room for five to eight passengers and costs €220 from here as a total amount. For a family, a group of friends or colleagues departing together, that spares two separate cars and the parking charges in Schiphol-P3.
What if the flight doesn't go ahead?+
Let us know at least four hours before the pick-up time. Moving the ride to a new date is then free of charge, and whoever cancels entirely gets half the amount back. Reporting later can no longer be handled without cost.
How does payment work?+
Settling happens online during booking, not in the car. That fixes the amount before the driver leaves and nothing needs arranging along the way — no card machine, no cash, no back-payment on arrival.
Is a taxi cheaper than parking at Schiphol?+

How far in advance do I need to book my Schiphol taxi?+
You can book online up to 1 hour before pickup, day and night; only between 02:00 and 09:00 you can't book a ride departing that same morning. If online booking is no longer available, just call 085 060 2543 and we'll see what's possible. Booking earlier is always wise — especially in holiday periods.
