Your ride from Tilburg
If you're travelling from Tilburg to Schiphol, you'll spend almost the entire trip on the motorway: the A65 past Vught joins the A2, which carries you in a single line past 's-Hertogenbosch and Utrecht to the airport. Outside rush hour, those 121 kilometres take roughly 100 minutes, and with Schipholride you pay a fixed all-in fare from €175 — including VAT, luggage and parking charges at Schiphol. During peak hours the journey can stretch to around 125 minutes, so the driver plans with a margin. A direct train from Tilburg to Schiphol almost never runs; you'll usually change at Breda. For early flights, plenty of suitcases or a group, a door-to-departure-hall ride is therefore often the calmer choice. Cancellation is free up to 24 hours before departure. Beyond Comfort you can choose Premium (€215, Mercedes E-Class or similar), a Van for 5–8 people (€230) or VIP (€360, S-Class).
From the Ringbaan the driver takes the A65 towards 's-Hertogenbosch and switches to the A2 at the Vught interchange. From there it's just over ninety kilometres of A2: past Den Bosch, across the Maas at Empel and the Waal at Zaltbommel, beyond the Deil and Everdingen interchanges and on past the Utrecht ring road towards Amsterdam. At the Holendrecht interchange the route continues along the A9 past Amstelveen and Badhoevedorp to the Schiphol exit. The familiar bottlenecks sit on the A2 between Deil and Everdingen and around Utrecht, plus the A9 near Amstelveen; between 06:30–09:30 and 15:30–18:30 in particular this can push the driving time up to around 125 minutes. Outside those windows you'll usually cover the route in about 100 minutes. If you live in the Reeshof or on the western side of the city, the N261 via Waalwijk onto the A59 can be a more logical approach; the driver chooses the fastest option on the day itself.
Pick-up in Tilburg
Pickup is possible anywhere in the municipality: from the Binnenstad and Oud-Zuid to Tilburg-Noord, the Reeshof and the villages of Berkel-Enschot and Udenhout. The driver will also be waiting at the agreed spot at any of the three NS stations — Tilburg, Tilburg Universiteit and Tilburg Reeshof. Do bear in mind that during the Tilburgse Kermis (ten days in late July) streets around the Spoorlaan, Heuvelring and Besterdring are closed off; for that period, give an address just outside the funfair zone or arrange the pickup point in advance.
Areas served: Binnenstad · Oud-Noord · Oud-Zuid · Tilburg-West · Tilburg-Noord · Reeshof · Berkel-Enschot · Udenhout — stations: Tilburg, Tilburg Universiteit, Tilburg Reeshof
Pick-up from Schiphol
If you land at Schiphol late in the evening, the return trip to Tilburg costs the same fixed fare — there's no night surcharge, even if you only head back into Brabant along the A2 after midnight. Your flight is tracked live; if the landing runs late, the driver knows and the free waiting hour only starts after the actual arrival time. Berkel-Enschot and Udenhout fall within the drop-off area for this route as well.
Frequently asked questions
How early should I leave Tilburg for a morning flight from Schiphol?+
Allow around 100 minutes of driving time outside rush hour, plus a good two hours for check-in and security. For a flight at 08:00, the pickup time in Tilburg works out at roughly 04:15–04:30. At that hour the A65 and A2 are quiet, so the driving time is easy to predict — and at night you simply pay the fixed price, with no surcharge.
How likely is congestion between Tilburg and Schiphol?+
The busy windows fall between 06:30–09:30 and 15:30–18:30, mainly on the A2 between Deil and Utrecht and on the A9 near Amstelveen. During those hours the trip can stretch to around 125 minutes; outside them you'll usually cover the route in about 100 minutes. The driver factors in the current traffic situation when planning.
Do you also pick up in the Reeshof, Berkel-Enschot and Udenhout?+
Yes, the fixed prices apply across the whole municipality of Tilburg, so the Reeshof, Berkel-Enschot and Udenhout are included too. The driver comes right to your door; pickup at Tilburg, Tilburg Universiteit or Tilburg Reeshof stations is also possible. From the Reeshof the route sometimes runs via the N261 and A59 rather than the A65.
Is there a direct train from Tilburg to Schiphol?+
Almost never: bar the odd exception, you'll change trains from Tilburg, usually at Breda. For a day trip without luggage that works fine, but with suitcases, children or a flight before 07:00 that change is often the weak point. A taxi takes you from your front door to the departure hall without changing, at any time of day.
What's a suitable option for groups or business travellers from Tilburg?+
For 5 to 8 people, Schipholride arranges a Van (Mercedes V-Class or similar) for €230 total — shared, often cheaper than travelling separately. Business travellers from Vossenberg, Tradepark 58 or the university usually choose Premium (Mercedes E-Class or similar, €215) and can keep working along the way.
